Oceana, a non-profit organization focused on driving ocean conservation policies at a national level, has released a report showing the extent of Coca-Cola’s contribution to plastic pollution.
The report, Coca-Cola’s World with Waste, quantifies the amount of plastic the beverage maker adds to the environment. Notably, Oceana also projects how much progress Coca-Cola could have made against plastic pollution had the soft drink giant stayed the course on its previous goals of reusable packaging instead of committing to using more recycled plastic in single-use bottles.
