I’ve been noticing a rise in packaging that showcases a product’s provenance, and Otherway turns Fortnum & Mason’s bars into miniature postcards from the places where their cacao begins.
Each origin has its own visual identity, while the stamp-inspired frames showcase artwork from Guatemala, Ghana, Indonesia, and the Solomon Islands, bringing local artists and cultural storytelling directly onto the pack. The illustrations are wonderfully detailed, moving from intricate textile-like patterns and figurative scenes to expressive, folk-inspired forms, making the chocolate feel connected to people and place rather than simply to cocoa percentage. Compared with the dark browns, metallic finishes, and familiar cacao imagery that still dominate premium chocolate, this system shifts toward traceability and artist collaboration, making origin something you can actually see before you taste it.
