Mike Tyson Releases Ear-Shaped Cannabis Gummies (and, Yes, They're Called 'Mike Bites')

When Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield stepped back into the ring on June 28, 1997, seven months after Holyfield snatched away the WBA Championship from Tyson in a devastating upset, boxing fans had no idea what they were about to witness. With nearly 2 million pay-per-view buys (the 5th highest in history), by any measure, even outside of the WTF-scale, it is one of the most memorable boxing matchups of the 20th and 21st centuries. Tyson would get disqualified in the 4th round for biting Holyfield’s ears—not once, but twice—and would have his boxing license revoked.

Now, Mike Tyson’s cannabis brand is making ear-shaped weed edibles.

Dubbed “Mike Bites,” the ear-shaped edibles have a slight bite mark at the tippy-top of the lobe. That distinctive touch to the cannabis candy also gets extended to the packaging, as it features a massive illustration of a non-bloodied bitten ear that takes up a great deal of the bag’s real estate. Below, under the Tyson 2.0 brand name, you’ll find Mike Bites in white and red, respectively.

For the 55-year old boxer’s cannabis brand, it’s a brilliant piece of marketing that trades in on some bizarre and disturbing 90s sports nostalgia. Plus, according to Iron Mike, “These ears actually taste good!”

No news yet on whether OJ’s gonna make Bronco gummies, but we’ll keep you posted.
