The race to market for paper bottles is coming closer to the finish line as The Absolut Company has announced that it will roll out 2,000 bottles in the UK and Sweden as part of a trial for the new packaging design.
The new prototypes are the fruit of an ongoing development from The Paper Bottle Company, or Paboco, a joint venture between paper firm BillerudKorsnäs and bottle manufacturing expert Alpla, based on the work by startup EcoXpac. Paboco partners include Coca-Cola, Carlsberg, and L’Oréal.
