Birchbox, the pioneers of personalized subscription beauty that launched in 2010, were busy redefining the online shopping experience once again in 2015. The team released the first ever monthly editorial packaging design program, and introduced their subscribers to the art of collectible packaging.
The editorial program which continues in 2016, tasks the Birchbox team with releasing new core, featured, limited edition men’s and women’s packaging design every 30 days for its more than 1 million subscribers worldwide. On time, and ahead of trends!
Since the editorial packaging launch in January 2015, Birchbox has featured many brands we as designers love; Rifle Paper Co., Rent The Runway, and MadMen for their series finale as limited editions. The monthly design release has made packaging collectors of subscribers, filled youtube with over a quarter of a million unboxing videos, and brings design to the doorsteps of America.
