Maybe Is the Energy Drink That Never Screams at You, and That’s a Good Thing

If you think energy drinks have been loud and brash for far too long, you’re not alone.

Maybe, however, is a new entrant that’s both calm and fruit-forward, with a Young Jerks-designed identity built around gorgeous fruit illustrations drawn from vintage produce crate labels. There’s nothing sporty or futuristic to be found here.

The colors shift by flavor into fully saturated fields, with a hot pink for Cherry Berry, green for Lemon Lime, and orange for Orange Guava. Each offering is just loud enough to grab your attention on the shelf, but it still feels warm and appetizing, without an ounce of neon or aggression. The Maybe wordmark is thick and a little bouncy, and it pairs with a small sunrise icon. The tagline, “maybe it will all work out,” gives the whole can a relaxed, slightly self-aware sense of humor. What makes this stand apart is that it borrows its energy from the fruit and color rather than the extreme, tapping into a growing shift in functional beverages that lean toward something gentle and approachable, proving a can can feel like something that can sit on your desk without looking like you’re about to jump off a cliff (intentionally).
