To address the growing need and consumer demand for more sustainable food packaging, bio-materials manufacturer Danimer Scientific has partnered with food container maker Genpak to launch a new line of eco-friendly packaging for the foodservice market.
Named GenZero, the new takeout products come from bio-based materials, including Danimer’s TUV Austria-certified Nodax PHA (polyhydroxyalkanoate) bioplastic, which the company says is 100% biodegradable in anaerobic soil, freshwater and saltwater environments and is a bio-based material.
