Coors Distribution Company has added two fellow Colorado brands, but they’re not of the craft beer or spiked seltzer variety.
Instead, they’re joining forces with hemp-based brands DRAM Apothecary and Colorado’s Best Beverage, both of which feature broad-spectrum hemp extract with no artificial additives.
CBD-infused beverages, while a nascent and burgeoning category, is on track to reach an estimated market size of $1.4 billion by 2023 according to Zenith Global, while beer and other alcoholic drinks have been on a decline. Nonetheless, beer enjoys a mature and established distribution model, something new wellness-based drinks lack.
