Yoro, a town in Honduras, has become well known for its strange annual freak occurrence. Every year, fish rain down from the sky. The lluiva de peces, or rain of fish, is attributed by many to a literal miracle after the Spanish priest José Manuel de Jesús Subirana prayed for three days and nights seeking nourishment for the hungry people of the area.

Scientists think that waterspouts originating nearby scoop up the fish and carry them into the area, where they then fall from the sky. Regardless, the annual phenomenon has now provided a source of income for the locals, thanks to a partnership with Oglivy Honduras and fish farming company Regal Springs called Heaven Fish.
