It’s no surprise that Samuel Adamas is a beer brand known for its seasonal release. However, what is surprising is that they’ve recently released a beer that’s so strong it’s illegal in 15 states.

This particular beer is known as Utopias, and it’s genuinely unlike any other beer. Not to mention, the packaging sits somewhere between historically inspired and futuristic.

The most recent blend of batches has been aged upwards of 30 years in various barrels with hop varieties including Spalt Spalter, Hallertau, Mittelfrueh, and Tettnang. According to the Samuel Adams website, Utopias is best paired with clam chowder, cobb salad, fish and chips, or pineapple upside-down cake.
