San Francisco is the type of city that attracts, creates, and fosters eccentric entrepreneurs.
Trevor, the Truffle Man, is one of those enterprising folks who has been delighting citizens of The City with his high-quality, cannabis-infused chocolate treats. For a decade, the Truffle Man operated as a sort of “pop-up” in Dolores Park until going legit in 2017. Now you can find his delectable delights in dispensaries throughout Northern California.
Vietnam-based Rice Studios recently designed new packaging for Truffle Man to tell the brand’s unique history while making the boxes a go-to gift synonymous with the place where Tony Bennett left his heart.
The white and blue boxes, made with Arena Ivory Smooth 120gsm paper from Fedrigoni, convey a premium look and feel. Copy set in gold foil adds to the luxe, giftable presentation. Rice also expressed the brand’s playfulness through intentionally different shapes and fun poetry on the box. Additionally, the various containers encourage retailers to experiment with different ways of stacking and shelving Truffle Man’s tasty goods.
The sturdy construction and artful design of the boxes also encourage reuse and presentation at home by consumers, extending the packaging’s life.
California is renowned for its quality wine, but Truffle Man’s new packaging aims to highlight some of the Golden State’s other fine offerings, like premium chocolate infused with cannabis.
