Perk Up With Lupinion Coffee's Packaging

Combining people's love for coffee and a need for a more environmentally friendly approach to the beverage's packaging, Lupinion was born. The natural paper packaging paired with vivid orange and pink creates an approachable aesthetic that feels beautifully balanced. Additionally, the sticker system livens up the rustic paper packaging, producing a perfectly perky design.
Creating Lupinion coffee with an opinion has been a flavorful journey. The brand was born out of the belief in the good life – one with happiness and enjoyment, just as with a responsible and conscious attitude towards others and the environment.
Knowing that coffee production is facing increasing strain due to changing climate conditions, all while our coffee consumption continues to rise worldwide, Lupinions’ founder Susanne decided to look for a more timely and responsible way to enjoy our daily brew. And she did: Lupin coffee. Which also happens to be really delicious!
As a brand with such a strong mission, Lupinion’s branding and design needed to reflect exactly that: From the opinionated naming and the strong colors to the bold and colorful imagery, as well as the very vocal icon-style signs communicating the brands key-messages and benefits, everything is aimed towards a confident appearance ready to to bring a breath of fresh air to the world of coffee.
The scope of the work included pretty much everything as we were lucky enough to start with a blank page. So we began the project with a brand workshop to develop brand strategy and positioning and then began defining the visual and verbal look and feel, the key-messaging, naming, design concept, and packaging. To be followed by webdesign, building of a Squarespace shop, creation of social media assets and art direction for the initial photo production.
With all that we don’t want you (or us) to miss out on our daily dose of coffee, not now and not ever – but we do want to be able to feel good about enjoying them in the future, too.
