SAMPÉ Gin’s Bottle Takes Deep Inspiration From Mediterranean Aesthetics

Izvorka Juric and Jurica Kos worked to design Sampé, a gin brand based in Croatia. The bottle’s design takes deep inspiration from the sea’s surface, inspired by the gin’s Adriatic salt notes. The brand’s name is mirror printed on the back of the bottle, creating the impression that the logo is underwater, continuing the nautical theme. This innovative position distorts the typography, developing unusually creative shapes that vary by different angles. Of course, the sea theme can be overdone, but Kos and Juric have created a Mediterranean feel for this gin packaging that isn’t cliche.
