MorningStar Farms Gets a Fresh New Look

Published

MorningStar Farms has been making plant-based and vegetarian foods since 1974, giving this refresh more than five decades of brand history to play with. Design Bridge and Partners brings that history forward through deep farm greens, warm retro typography, and dense botanical illustrations that feel closer to 1970s food packaging than the polished minimalism sometimes associated with newer plant-based brands.

The handcrafted woodcut-inspired graphics are especially fun, weaving leaves, vegetables, wheat, hands, forks, and little “Goodness Since 1974” emblems into an almost continuous garden around the pack. Product names switch into chunky, characterful lettering while bright green rays rise behind the food, giving every box and pouch a recognizable structure without making the range look overly uniform.

There is a specific confidence in letting farming imagery take over so much space. The food photography and illustrations weave together to create a delicious aesthetic for a plant-based brand.
