Billie is a female-first personal care brand that began with a razor specially designed for women’s shaving needs, doing more than taking a men’s blade and making it pink or pastel-colored. The direct-to-consumer brand’s success has caught the eye of conglomerate Proctor & Gamble, who announced earlier this year that it plans to acquire Billie.
Billie’s latest brand expansion focuses on items used every day, like dry shampoo, lip balm, and face wipes. The products are all EWG (Environmental Work Group) certified and made from safe ingredients, including plant-based and vegan alternatives to harsh and planet-unfriendly substances.
The packaging makes use of white and oversaturated colors, bearing the Billie wordmark in a smart, thin type.
Billie’s commitment to clean and environmentally-friendly products extends beyond certification from EWG, as the brand has created a Clean Cash Calculator that allows consumers to compare the products they’re currently using against Billie’s. The Clean Cash Calculator is a website with a funky-retro design that also breaks down and provides detailed information about the ingredients found in a beauty product in its database. Billie is also offering a discount for customers who switch from a product that scores worse.
