You Don’t Have To Work At McDonald’s To Smell Like French Fries Thanks To ‘Frites Of Idaho’

Foods like oysters, artichokes, figs, and chocolate are considered aphrodisiacs. Folks turn to these ingredients for a more amorous disposition believing that some treats influence libido. But the fine farmers that grow Idaho potatoes think that the scent of french fried spud is what will really get the juices flowing.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC), a state agency promoting the world-renowned tubers, has released Frites by Idaho, a limited-edition fragrance made using distilled Idaho potatoes and essential oils intended to smell like french fries. The product page, which looks like it was designed in the 00s, says Frite by Idaho, “embodies the irresistible essence of potatoes from Idaho.”
