Miller High Life has been the “Champagne of Beers†for nearly all of its existence, earning the moniker early on in the brand’s 116-year history. Debuting at a time when bottled beer was a luxury, Miller High Life evolved into a punch-clockers’ brew, something blue-collar types ordered at the local dive bar after a long shift. Miller High Life remains popular among hard-working folks and a guilty pleasure of fancy-schmancy craft beer brewers.
Returning in time for the holidays, Miller High Life wants to live up to their slogan, and they’ve wrapped themselves up in a Champagne bottle, sans cork and cage sadly. The 750ml bottle-capped glass vessels are clear with “The Champagne of Beers†embossed across the broad shoulder in raised letters. Just like their diminutive brothers, the holiday release sports a gold foil-wrapped neck and retro-inspired labels, including vintage visual elements and fonts that harken back to the days when we considered shag carpeting, fondue, and key parties de rigueur.
