Lágrimas de Dolores – Mezcal

Published

Everybody loves a mezcal, especially when the branding emphasizes symbols from renaissance art. Designed by Hola Bubu, Lágrimas de Dolores is a mezcal that takes strong inspiration from Renaissance Period Paintings, including the richly hued color palette and symbols of daggers and crowns. And while these elements are vastly different from what you typically see with mezcal branding, they work because they’re subtly polished and understated yet make you want to dig deeper, with a glass of this spirit in hand while doing so, of course.

“Virgen de los Dolores” was the greatest source of inspiration for the construction of this Mezcal, her clothing, crown and daggers (7) are the greatest referential exponents of this “Virgen”.
