Efforts to reduce the amount of packaging material is well underway by consumer brands around the world. BYOC (bring-your-own-container) and zero waste stores are popping up all over, with interest rising among consumers. But it’s not just legitimate businesses reducing their packaging, the underworld has taken notice and is stepping up their sustainability game.
Even drug dealers.
Small, personal amounts of drugs are typically served up in plastic baggies, plastic wrap, plastic vials, or folded-up wax paper bindles. A big priority for drug packaging is stealth and transportability, but until now little thought has been given to the environmental impact of all the little plastic bits used to deliver highs.
