My love for andSons packaging began when I discovered they were one of our 2019 Dieline Award winners, and only amplified when I got to see the packagings firsthand in Chicago at our Dieline Booth. The designs are elegant and minimalistic, yet still vibrant and eyecatching. It's an excellent combination and makes for the perfect gift, no matter the occasion.

"andSons, a second-generation chocolatier formed by two brothers (Phil and Marc Covitz), a renowned pastry chef (Kriss Harvey) and a love of fine chocolate. Bridging the gap between old and new, andSons marries their European heritage with the inspiration and creativity of their Los Angeles roots to reimagine the world’s most important food group – chocolate!"

"The shop (and its chocolates) pay homage to the two owners' mother (it all started with mom), who originally owned and operated the space as an importer of fine Swiss chocolate 35 years ago -- and first inspired their mutual love of all things chocolate. They've since reimagined her legacy with the help of Chef Kriss Harvey (former Pastry Chef at The Bazaar by José Andrés at the SLS). With some recipes calling for fifteen or more steps, Chef Kriss and his team carefully craft each piece by hand here in LA, and source organic, all natural ingredients from specialty providers around the world, including local farmer’s markets. Chef Kriss is also the ONLY true trained chef chocolate maker in LA and his passion for his craft and what he produces you could say he's a fancy Willy Wonka!"
