Bud Light To Release Rainbow Bottle For Pride Month

by Rudy Sanchez on 05/07/2019 | 1 Minute Read

In celebration of World Pride month, Bud Light is releasing rainbow-colored aluminum bottles. The beer maker has also pledged to donate $1 from every case—up to $150,000—sold between May 27th to June 30th to GLAAD, a non-profit LGBTQ advocacy organization.

The new bottle design marks the latest effort in a 20-year partnership between Bud Light and GLAAD and will debut at the GLAAD Media Awards before being available nationwide.

In addition to the LGBTQ Pride flag inspired color scheme, the Bud Light creed that’s printed on the crest of the bottle was switched out for a message of support and inclusivity.

“The way we see it, our beer is for everyone to enjoy, so we are looking forward to seeing Pride bottles at bars throughout the month of June and beyond,” said Andy Goeler, Vice President of Marketing for Bud Light, via a news release. “With the release of these new bottles, we hope to create something that everyone can feel proud to hold during Pride month that also makes a positive impact for GLAAD's initiatives and the LGBTQ+ community overall.”

Pride Month is celebrated every June in commemoration of the Stonewall Riots, considered a watershed event for LGBTQ rights movement.
