Children have been playing the classic board game Candy Land since Milton Bradley purchased it from Eleanor Abbott and began publishing it in 1949. Abbott had developed the game while recovering from polio, play testing it among children in the same ward. Featuring simple, completely random gameplay, Candy Land is easy enough to play for even younger children.
Hasbro, the current publisher of Candy Land, has partnered with snack brand Babybel to create a cheesier version of the game.
