Meringue packaging isn’t something I often think about, probably because it’s not that memorable, but The Glorious Mess happily takes that maximalist spirit somewhere wonderfully British and absolutely worth remembering.
Derek&Eric turn the dessert’s chaotic origin stories into charming geometric illustrations, with chefs, strawberries, and tumbling meringue pieces. Intense contrasts make the range look more like a collection of illustrated treats than traditional bakery packaging, and the curvy blue lettering lends a wonderfully eccentric retro character on pack. Most meringues lean toward delicate pastels and polished patisserie cues, but this design celebrates the glorious accident behind Eton Mess and makes imperfection the most memorable part of the shelf.
