Student Week: Versace Home Appliances

Instructor Thomas McNulty at Academy of Art University in San Francisco gave his students a simple brief: design a new collection of home appliances for a brand that currently does not have them.
Artfully, student designer Gurvinder Kaur chose the brand Versace. This brand was picked as Gurvinder wanted to explore and incorporate a luxury pattern and juxtapose it against a mundane home appliance. Thoughtfully, the pattern is quite understated on both the front and back of the packaging, allowing each appliance to stand out precisely as it should.
While Versace doesn’t currently have a home line, I’m sure if the brand were to see how luxurious their products could be, they’d be convinced to give it a whirl.
