Terracota By Herdade do Rocim is a Clay Aged Wine Featuring a Terracotta Seal

Published

Herdade do Rocim is a family project led by the couple of winemakers, who are passionate about the estate and the wines they produce, applying their know-how to position them at the highest quality standards.

“We redesigned the range of Herdade do Rocim wines, including the logo, and created a seal that expresses the philosophy they uphold. We chose Linaria ricardoi as a symbol f?or the brand, an extremely rare plant with lovely violet flowers. To preserve this plant, Quercus established a micro-reserve in the region, with Rocim becoming actively involved in the cause.

Rocim Terracotta was crafted like the clay of the amphorae where it ages, making it unique and distinct from traditional oak barrels. Each bottle proudly displays a medallion hand crafted by a potter (individual piece). The natural texture of this clay piece with the embossed text invites us to touch and discover, while the material itself reveals clues for tasting.”
