Packaging Designers Just Got a New Adobe Gizmo To Play With: The Dimension Tool

Packaging designers just got a new arrow in their quiver, all thanks to Adobe.

Today, the software developer announced a new feature in Illustrator called the Dimension tool, which allows users to plot and measure linear, angular, and radial dimensions in their work and customize unit, scale, and appearance.

Packaging designers can drag the tool across objects and automatically see the size. Additionally, they can customize settings for different packaging units and change product color and fonts. For example, it’s much easier for packaging designers to measure things like box flaps at unique angles.
