According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about 15% of the world’s population lives with a disability. Yet much of the world’s packaging is designed with few considerations of the needs of these consumers, with the beauty industry being no exception. Olay has taken a step towards addressing the needs of disabled consumers, announcing its Easy Open Lid.
The Easy Open Lid has been designed to assist consumers with various conditions, like vision impairment, joint pain, dexterity issues, and limb differences. Features include a winged cap, extra grip lid, a high-contrast label, and Braille text reading “face cream” on the top.
