If there’s one word to describe the current aesthetic of the bug spray market, it would be “aggressive.”
Little Six’s packaging by Tiger Pan rejects the typical outdoorsy hostility of the category in favor of sculptural calm. The rounded bottle pairs industrial design with quiet symbolism, and the typography is bold yet softened. Muted greens and yellow greens signal botanicals and safety while the abstract iconography replaces insects, positioning protection as thoughtful design rather than chemical defense.

Case Study
Jahwa Liushen spent three years exploring the mosquito repellent needs of the maternal and infant market, but its products consistently resulted in losses. To address this, designers researched most of the maternal and infant mosquito repellent products on the market, recognizing potential for improvement in building a brand that fosters a sense of mother-and-baby comfort and trust.
The new “Little Liushen” is a completely redesigned product for mothers and infants, from the brand name to the packaging. The soft container shape (without sharp corners) continues Liushen’s new brand logic while softening the overall design – a transformation from an egg to a small doll, a personified design. Color selection: Natural, low-saturation, and approachable.

Brand building: “Little Liushen” instead of “Liushen” plus any other embellishments; simple, direct, and impactful – all designs born from deep insight, reflecting a caring approach.
Through research, we found that mothers of young infants are very resistant to applying chemical products directly to their babies’ bodies. To repel mosquitoes, they spray the product into the surrounding air or apply the liquid to nearby objects. This is a very meticulous approach and fully demonstrates mothers’ extreme demands for safety. To address this, the designers specifically added a larger bottle and meticulously designed a brand-new nozzle, featuring a simple and elegant design while achieving precise dosage control.

Even the smaller bottle’s nozzle can be rotated and locked, giving mothers greater peace of mind—it can be placed freely in a stroller or baby bag without worrying about accidental ingestion or leakage.
Commercial Success: The Xiaoliushen product received widespread acclaim immediately upon its launch, directly demonstrating the market competitiveness driven by product innovation and design.
