Natural wine people are ?really? into natural wine— which makes sense, considering its ambitious flavors and DIY approach makes it way more fun and interesting than regular degular wine. On paper, this might make asking questions about the flavor profiles and fermentation process feel all the more important to the purchasing process, but let’s be real: it’s always fun to pick stuff based off the labels.
Portland’s Fossil & Fawn has great-looking wines, and the design for their latest, Oregon Orange, comes courtesy of LA studio Club. It comes with a very hip ’70s Art Nouveau look with wavy typography and artsy illustration that would make it the toast of a Laurelhurst Park picnic. The flavors are nothing to shake a stick at either, featuring orange blossom, rosewater, and bergamot.
