Olipop's Latest Soda Brand To Focus On Lemon Lime With New Flavor

The struggle for cola dominance has subsided to a battle for lemon-lime supremacy.
Soda superpowers Coca-Cola and PepsiCo have recently made significant moves on the lemon-lime front. Coke’s Sprite, its second best-selling brand globally after its Cola namesake, recently underwent a global refresh by Turner Duckworth. PepsiCo retired Sierra Mist, replacing it with a new lemon-lime brand, Starry, explicitly aimed at Gen Z. 7UP, owned by Keurig Dr Pepper but distributed internationally by PepsiCo, also underwent a brand refresh.
Better-for-you prebiotic soda brand Olipop has become the latest entrant in the lemon-lime tit-for-tat, announcing a new lemon-lime flavor. The label design gets dominated by lime green and features an illustration of a whole lemon next to a sliced lime on the front and essentially follows the Olipop design system.
Lemon Lime follows Olipop’s strategy of offering sodas in classic flavors like Cherry Cola, Grape, Root Beer, and its alt-pepper Doctor Goodwin, but with low sugar, gut-healthy ingredients, vegan, and GMO-free.
