Enjoy The Here and Now With AQAVE

AQAVE is a spirit sourced from maguey syrup, more commonly known as agave nectar. Used as a sweetener, but often distilled to make a variety of spirits, this sweet syrup is as satisfying as the branding designed in collaboration with TORO PINTO. Each bottle features a different, unique ombré tone of pink, teal, purple, and silver. The slogan emphasizes enjoying the "here and now". Each element of the logo places importance on tradition and history. Each symbol that makes up the composition of the label as a whole has a celestial and supernatural feel, drawing its roots from Mexican surrealism and spirituality.

AQAVE is a Dutch spirits brand that sheds light on the origin of agave. The cultural impact of Mexico’s self-sufficient communities in Oaxaca was one of the main aspects that inspired us to research the activities, processes, and traditions present in this region. With these elements in mind, we developed an identity that was both technical and emotional.

The brand and packaging experience describe the symbiosis of the human touch, natural environments, and the local communities. We created a diagram-based brand, that shows the union of this anthropological universe through infographics with practical and emotional symbolism.

On a technical level, the brand describes the research, steps, raw materials, and natural elements that are used for the creation of agave spirits. On the other hand, the different symbols and illustrations present in the flowchart provide a way of understanding the beauty and cultural impact of this ancestral beverage.

In a very competitive market, AQAVE offers the opportunity to show the real process of traditional practices. A spirit collection that cares about the context in which it is created. With the branding and packaging, we developed an interesting proposal to share anthropological knowledge through the consumption of a product.
