If the industries keep producing plastic as we currently do, the CO2 emissions will double by 2050 to 85 million tons. The fact that only 10% of the world's plastic is being recycled is evidence that the system doesn't work, and as a result of this, nature is flooded by plastic waste. 60% of this waste comes from the plastic packaging industry.

Yangi is a manufacturing technology for dry moulded cellulose based packaging, which is a very interesting emerging alternative to replace volumes of rigid plastic packaging in terms of performance, cost and environmental impact. It is a result of more than more than 10 years of R&D work. By combining two different technology platforms it is possible to go from paper pulp into ready made packaging, using minimal amounts of water.

Yangi Beauty is a joint development between Grow and The Loop Factory using their proprietary Cellulose Dry Forming Technology Yangi DFT. Addressing the challenges facing the beauty and cosmetics industry by creating new systems using both new renewable materials, manufacturing technology and new digital hardware and software technologies. The development currently includes collaborations with partners in the whole packaging value chain in order to create turnkey solutions for more effective systems. Similar to the previously awarded pioneering partnerships in the Paboco Paper Bottle development and Shaped Paper Pods.
