Travis Scott's Latest Collab Is A Hard Seltzer Because Of Course It Is

If you thought the year would end without yet another celebrity hard seltzer or a Travis Scott collab, you’d be wrong on both counts. The recording artist is riding into 2021 with Cacti, a new brand of hard seltzer that he’s probably hoping will get a more positive response than his Halloween costume.
Brewed in Los Angeles and made with 100% blue agave, the same plant used to make tequila, the drink will come in three flavors, lime, pineapple, and strawberry. The Houston-native Scott worked with Anheuser-Busch on developing Cacti, including recipes and even the packaging.
The 12oz cans and outer case packaging certainly carry the SICKO MODE artist’s distinctive aesthetic, with off-white labels featuring a logo containing agave hearts and fronds with the brand name in a dynamic, heavy type. Little artistic flares throughout the bottle continue to show Scott’s signature branding. Cacti’s packaging is clearly a Travis Scott joint, and in a crowded segment like hard seltzer, his fanbase might be the edge a new brand needs. However, unlike previous smash collabs with brands such as Fortnite and McDonald’s, this one isn’t accessible to Scott’s younger fanbase.
“Cacti is something I'm really proud of and have put a ton of work into. Me [sic] and the team really went in, not only on getting the flavor right but on thousands of creative protos on everything from the actual beverage, to the can concept, to the packaging and how it is presented to the world. We always try to convey a feeling in our products," Travis Scott said via press release. "I'm a big fan of tequila, so I came at it from that angle, too. I'm really excited to put this out in 2021 and see other people be able to enjoy it.”
Travis Scott has mentioned Cacti in the past. Last month, he shared his thoughts on the lime-flavored hard seltzer, telling XXL, “I kinda like it.”
