“A local indie band, Club De Lay, wanted to celebrate their decade long artistic revenue with a special gig. For the event they wanted a visuality playing a homage for their first single, Boomslang. The band gave a total freedom to create disruptive visuality which would be adapted for the event beerlabels, posters and other possible merhchandise. Restrictions for the brief came from the brewery which hoped that their underground graffitistyle would be somehow present in the beer.”

“Since the only true cornerstone for the project was the snake, boomslang, I started by creating a visually full illustration of a snake resembling a soundwave. The soundwave snake was scaled to maximum in the bottle so that it would allow an unique shelf blocking with only abstract waves in the front or by turning the bottle to fully reveal the actual snake and the product name. For the event poster, snake was re-illustrated in to a new form, to offer variability and modularity.”
