You may know Joel McHale from his work on popular TV shows like Community. You may not know that he’s a big fan of ice cream, particularly Klondike. Joel also has thoughts on packaging design, thanks partly to his wife, Sarah Williams, who has a background in art and graphic design and worked for Margo Chase.

McHale recently teamed up with Klondike as part of the brand’s Hometown promotion, and Dieline spoke to the actor and comedian about what is so great about the beloved ice cream brand, what he thinks is the most frustrating packaging design ever, and why egg cartons are ingenious.
