Human designed a glow-in-the-dark packaging system for Sta. Maria Sotol honors passed loved ones. Even without the glow-in-the-dark features, the bottle’s design features a stunning typography hierarchy, exquisite illustrations, and an illustrious shade of yellow.

Sta. Maria Sotol / Sotol is a distillate made from a type of shrub, Dasylirion Wheeleri, more commonly called desert spoon. That’s in contrast to Tequila and mezcal, crafted from agave. Sta. Maria Sotol Brings the Mexican heritage and culture into a colorful label based on popular traditions. We created a bottle that honors the life of the people that are no longer with us. We designed a sensorial label with UV Varnish that as soon as the night kicks in, it comes to life such as the memories of our loved ones. We honor the death by celebrating life.
