“Renowned Australian coffee supplier Five Senses Coffee requested a packaging refresh for their signature brown coffee bags, which are distributed to cafés and stores Australia wide. To reflect the origins of the coffee, we engaged and art directed New Zealand illustrator Pete McDonald to create a series of botanical illustrations. The illustrations were placed on stickers which wrap around the existing bags, using colour coded headings to differentiate the products. Five Senses also launched a limited edition ‘Reserve Range’ for hardcore coffee enthusiasts. We felt this could be treated as a collectors item and created a trading card theme which was stapled onto paper bags which were hand stamped with the Five Senses logo.”
