While we see a lot of great coffee design out there, it’s actually a little shocking that we don’t see much that comes in a can, especially considering how much people seem to love the design. For ages, sustainable aesthetes have been storing office supplies, knick knacks, and other materials in proudly displayed cans of Cafe Bustelo or Folger’s, so this substrate has long felt primed for a revival.
Cans are great for their durability, reusability, and recyclability, and the Michigan-based coffee brand MudPenny does one better with their packaging by making every other step as sustainable as possible. These shiny, vintage-looking beauties are manufactured with archival paper labeling, a premium on water conservation, and absolutely zero plastic. While you could always throw one of these cans in the bin after using it, why would you want to? Timeless black and gold would make these look great on a shelf.
