In 2017, Canadian teen Marissa Vettoretti was witnessing a growing awakening to the effects of plastic upon the environment, especially concerning single-use plastics such as straws and shopping bags. She started asking herself what other single-use plastics are out there and was inspired to explore the topic.
While participating in a student design competition, she learned that the tiny amenity bottles you find in a hotel aren’t recyclable. Inspired, she and other like-minded folks got together to create an alternative to traditional bath products that are plastic-free.
