Being able to carry around curated music to listen to on-the-go is so significant that innovations in portable tunes have a way of looming large in its era’s zeitgeist.

The advent of cassette tapes made creating custom mixes possible, and then in 1979, Sony’s Walkman introduced the world to carrying and listening to your tracks anywhere. In the subsequent four decades, the cassette tape has been superseded as the preferred portable media several times over, but the plastic cassette case endures as a symbol of carefully crafted and uniquely personal music.

Champagne house Veuve Clicquot is tapping into the spirit of individuality, creativity, and personal expression with its Retro, Chic! gift collection. Each gift box gets modeled after a cassette tape with one of six very 80s inspired face graphics such as zebra prints, diamond facets, and retro sunset. The range covers a lot of ground graphically, having at least one design that will hit just the right nostalgic groove for anyone.

The attention to detail throughout the gift box makes them premium as well as retro-rad. Metallic faux screws adorn each corner, emulating the way many cassette tapes were held together, and the center window and spools get molded into the box, providing depth and dimension that you can't get by using a sticker or a label. There is even a blank space on the cover to further personalize each box.

Veuve Clicquot’s cassette gift boxes are designed to be reused and kept for a lifetime to store any number of things, except for modern, ethereal music that exists on the cloud, of course.
