Xbox and Unilever Demand Gamers Take A Bath Already, Release Body Wash

It’s easy to pigeonhole gamers as slovenly losers that rarely leave their hovels, except to procure snacks.

Truth is gaming isn’t solely the domain of neckbeards as nearly 70% of Americans play video games, and 43% play video games on consoles such as Nintendo’s Switch, Sony’s PlayStation, and Microsoft’s Xbox. So while some gamers don’t mind the funk, others want to be sure they’re fresh when do go AFK, or “Away From Keyboard.” With that in mind, Unilever’s Lynx partnered with Xbox to create a new line of personal care products for gamers.

The line uses Xbox’s palette of bright green, white and black, and includes a body spray, deodorant and shower gel. Officially the new line is described as “a fresh scent of pushing green citrus, top notes of kaffir lime and winter lemon, aromatic herbal notes of mint and sage, and woody bottom notes of patchouli and clearwood.” Sure, everyone might not pick up on all of those olfactory hints, but one thing’s for sure, it's a lot better than the smell of an all-night gaming sesh.

The Xbox-Lynx crossover launches in Australia and New Zealand ahead of 2019’s E3 gaming trade show conference, where gaming wizards the world over anticipate that Microsoft will share details about the next generation Xbox console and have more Halo Infinite for gamers to ogle.

Here's hoping the event will smell a little less like old Taco Bell and regret.
