It is scientifically impossible to eat just one pistachio. Okay, that’s not actually true, but if you’ve ever popped open a fresh pistachio from the shell, you know that the struggle is real. Of course, this means that a mid-day snack break can turn into quite a mess in a short amount of time, and this is where Pistachio Provenance comes in. These clever little boxes of pistachios, designed by Kingdom & Sparrow, come with a sliding divider that gives you the perfect spot to put your discarded shells.

“Pistachio Provenance was selling unbelievably delicious Greek-grown pistachios, roasted in citrus, at local markets and events. We recognised they had a premium, artisan (and incredibly moreish) product, that could reach a much wider audience if they had the right packaging design.”

“Their box has a special slider that moves so you can keep your nuts on one side and your shells on the other. The outer packaging needed to convey this in the right way and the inside needed to be a fun reveal. We created something striking to really sell the unique box and their small-batch pistachios as a premium quality snack.”

A seemingly simple solution like this improves the experience for the consumer massively. Pistachio Provenance gives buyers a one stop shop for snacking, keeping the food safe and the trash it creates easily managed. These pistachios are also finely made and roasted, making them a luxurious and healthy item to enjoy. The sans serif font choice expresses this quality, appearing to be an artisan snack. Since they’re sold in individual boxes, sealed inside, it also helps with portioning and makes it an easy treat for people on the go.
