For Baby, It’s Warm in Here, we wanted holiday chocolate to feel like stepping into a glowing little world. This limited-edition collection was inspired by the tiny holiday villages many of us grew up seeing on mantels, pianos, and tabletops, reimagined here as a chocolate village filled with cocoa nights, candlelight, snack breaks between wrapping marathons, and sweetly lit winter windows. The collection includes six truffle bars, Candy Cane, Hot Buttery Rum, Crème Brûlée Crackle, Mexican Hot Cocoa, Cozy Cannoli, and Peanut Buddy Crisp, along with a full lineup of gift boxes: Only Chocolate In The Building Advent Calendar, Santa’s Camper, Peppermint Pad, Home For Hanukkah, Cabin Fever, Bonbon Bungalow, Frosty Friends, and Away In An A-Frame. Together, they create a holiday packaging system designed to invite people in and reward a closer look.

At Maeve, we love building packaging worlds that feel joyful, specific, and a little transportive. Baby, It’s Warm in Here gave us the chance to take a familiar holiday object, the collectible winter village, and turn it into a complete confectionery experience across bars, boxes, and gifting formats. Rather than treat holiday as a generic seasonal assortment, we created a collection where each package feels like a different glowing window into the same festive neighborhood.
1. Creativity
Creativity in this project comes from how fully we committed to the holiday-village premise. We did not want a collection built only on snowflakes and standard seasonal shorthand. We wanted windows, wreaths, warm interiors, neighborhood charm, and the tiny rituals that make the season feel personal. That idea shaped both the range and the naming system. Candy Cane, Hot Buttery Rum, Crème Brûlée Crackle, Mexican Hot Cocoa, Cozy Cannoli, and Peanut Buddy Crisp each bring a different flavor expression to the village, while the gift boxes expand the concept through titles like Santa’s Camper, Bonbon Bungalow, and Away In An A-Frame.
What makes the collection creatively strong is that it operates like a place, not just a product line. The advent calendar, boxed assortments, and bar lineup all feel like they belong to the same holiday setting. That gives the collection a richer narrative arc and makes the experience of shopping it feel more immersive, playful, and memorable.

2. Marketability
Marketability is one of the clearest strengths of Baby, It’s Warm in Here. Holiday is one of confectionery’s most important gifting seasons, and this collection was designed to work across a wide range of purchase occasions and price points. The truffle bars offer accessible seasonal treats, while the gift boxes and advent calendar create options for hosts, families, friends, coworkers, and holiday shoppers looking for something more substantial. That range makes the system highly merchandisable and easy to shop.
The collection also benefits from immediate seasonal clarity. Customers do not need to work hard to understand what it is or when it belongs in their lives. The world is recognizable at a glance, but the individual formats create enough variety to support impulse purchases, stocking stuffers, shared gifting, and centerpiece holiday moments. That flexibility is a major part of the project’s commercial strength.
3. Innovation
Innovation in this project lives in how one central narrative was translated across a broad set of formats without losing coherence. We did not approach Baby, It’s Warm in Here as a loose mix of holiday products. We built it as a unified packaging world that could stretch from single bars to an advent calendar to multiple gift boxes while still feeling like one distinct seasonal experience.
That system-level thinking is what makes the collection feel larger than a typical holiday drop. Each package contributes to the same emotional setting, but in a slightly different way. The innovation is not structural reinvention. It is the creation of an expandable seasonal universe that remains legible, giftable, and visually cohesive from entry-level format to hero gift item.

4. Execution
Execution was about maintaining consistency across a large and varied lineup. With Baby, It’s Warm in Here, the challenge was not only to create individual products with strong seasonal character, but to ensure they all felt connected as part of the same chocolate village. The bar lineup, gift boxes, and advent calendar each play a different role, but they all support the same warm, window-lit holiday story.
That consistency allows the collection to feel substantial without becoming scattered. Customers can move between formats and still feel the same mood, tone, and sense of place. For us, strong execution meant building a collection with enough variety to stay interesting, while keeping the visual and verbal language tight enough that everything still reads as one complete holiday world.
5. On-Pack Branding
On-pack branding is a standout strength of this project. Baby, It’s Warm in Here relies on names that are memorable, descriptive, and full of mood. The collection title itself sets the tone immediately, and the individual product names deepen that world through imagery, humor, and seasonal specificity. Candy Cane and Mexican Hot Cocoa speak directly to familiar winter cravings, while names like Only Chocolate In The Building, Santa’s Camper, Bonbon Bungalow, and Away In An A-Frame add personality and narrative dimension.

This matters because holiday packaging can easily become visually crowded or emotionally generic. We wanted the collection to feel unmistakably Maeve: playful, art-forward, giftable, and full of warmth. The naming architecture helps make that happen by giving every package a clear role within the village while reinforcing one cohesive master story.
6. Sustainability
Sustainability is part of the broader Maeve packaging approach this collection lives within. Across the brand, our packaging is designed to be either recyclable or compostable, depending on the instructions on pack. We are also a fully carbon neutral company, and we have transitioned our bonbon wraps to compostable materials. This collection was created within that larger system, allowing it to participate in our ongoing environmental commitments while delivering a highly expressive seasonal experience.
Overall, Baby, It’s Warm in Here turns holiday chocolate into a complete visual and emotional world. By reimagining the collectible holiday village as a confectionery packaging system, we created a collection that feels festive, layered, and immediately giftable across multiple formats. For us, the success of the project is in proving that seasonal packaging can do more than signal a holiday. It can invite people into a place they want to visit.
