Alpro, a European company that markets plant-based foods, has reimagined fried chicken takeout (or “takeaway” in Brit-speak) as a vegan meal. Called the “Plant Based Bucket” (PBB), mushrooms sub in for chicken in nugget form with sweet potato fries ( aka, “chips”) and a creamy garlic dip.
Most innovative of all though is the bucket itself — it’s 100% edible.
Comprised of a mixture including fennel, nigella, sesame and pumpkin seeds, the PBB’s bucket is what head of Plant Power and chief bucket taster at Alpro Stephanie Balsom-Eynon told Metro is “deliciously moreish, and really is good enough to eat; especially when paired with the Alpro-based creamy garlic dip.”
