Caparo DC designed the packaging for the flour brand Noma. The branding is based on tradition, so the packaging follows suit, leaning into Greek customs and detailed textiles. The artist Porfyria Moschopoulou designed the handmade-inspired illustrations, leaning into embroidery details. The earthy tones and vintage typography play into the classic qualities while highlighting a sense of artisanal craftsmanship

Inspired by Mother Earth, Noma flours celebrate craftsmanship, tradition, and artisanal culture in a modern and emotional way. Noma is a mass-market Greek brand by Lidl with a broad portfolio of quality food and beverage products characterized by local ingredients, regional flavors, and traditional recipes. The brand’s core values are authenticity, tradition, honest locality, but also nostalgia (it means remembrance, memory in ancient Greek). We designed the packaging for two flour product lines produced in Cyprus. Researching Cyprus’ rich tradition, we found great inspiration in the handmade folk art and detailed ornamented Paphos textiles.
