Chicano creatives are in the midst of an exciting moment that’s resulted in a lot of compelling, thoughtful branding. As Mexico has a deep, centuries-old connection to some of the world’s oldest pleasures, a lot of this moment is centered around reclaiming their culture’s undeniable influence on goods like tequila and chocolate being at all accessible to the rest of the world. It’s only nature for this development to extend itself to something no other place could ever do better: Mexican food.

Tejano food brand Nanu was designed with this kind of authenticity in mind, creating a dining experience that’s healthier, but still aligned with tried-and-true Mexican tradition. Cherry Bomb Creative runs with a similar approach to many of its peers in Latine branding, dressing Nanu’s products with earthy art and funky ‘70s-inspired type. The cool hand and tree logo emphasizes a connection to the land, which adds an extra layer of conscientiousness to the final design.
