You can typically find the Japanese-based energy drink Pocari Sweat packaged inside a plastic bottle. Now, the ion replenishing beverage, most popular in Asia and the Middle East, is rolling out a recycled glass bottle in partnership with Loop, the global reuse system that teams up with major brands to sell their products in reusable packaging.
Not only will the bottles work towards the brand becoming more sustainable, but physical sites will accommodate Pocari Bottle recycling stations so the glass bottles can be refilled and resold after a deep cleaning.
Beyond the packaging being more sustainable, the design is crisp and clean, through the implementation of a blue-hued glass bottle and a simple, albeit horizontal, typography system. The packaging design is as refreshing as the energy drink within the glass bottles.
