At its CAGNY (Consumer Analyst Group of New York) 2026 presentation, CPG firm J.M. Smucker Co. announced a packaging update to its namesake line of fruit spreads. It is the first significant change to Smucker’s packaging in three decades.

According to J.M. Smucker, the change is part of a broader marketing shift that will focus on “modern eating moments,” spotlighting how its customers use the company’s spreads (including Jif peanut butter) beyond PB&Js.
