- Featured Shark Tank South American food brand Toast-It rebrands to “Kiosco,” or Kiosk, on the advice of Shark and Kind founder Daniel Lubetzky
- Kiosco’s refresh, by Venezuelan studio Banana Creative, ties the Kiosco branding closer to its Latin American heritage, better communicating authenticity and flavor.
When Mafe Romer and Coco Cabezas went on the popular show Shark Tank to pitch their company, Toast-It, it was already in some Walmart stores, including South Florida, the brand’s home base.
Toast-It markets frozen arepas, flatbreads stuffed or filled with a variety of meats, cheeses, seafood, and vegetables, but they also sell Colombian pandebono bites, which are cassava-based breads stuffed with cheese. Romer and Cabezas wound up striking a deal with shark Daniel Lubetzky, who is also Latino, and the founder of snack bar brand Kind.
