Combining quirky typography and a monochromatic color palette creates an instantly recognizable design aesthetic. Designed by Thinking Room, Hopescotch is a game developed for the Chinese Year. The chic embossed detail paired with the playful colors and typography come together in an aesthetic that mimics the game’s amusement within with a mature sense of nostalgia that games can effuse.
In celebration of Chinese New Year 2023, we intended to craft something that commemorates the water rabbit. The design idea and name took inspiration from a rabbitâs hop, the hopscotch game, and hopes for the year. Then born Hopescotch, a scroll calendar that reminds us to hop into a new day with new hope, because a mindful manifestation is indeed a powerful tool as we believe it.
